Fredericka (Zieman) Bernau was a good Christian woman, whose middle name was
WORK. She certainly knew how to do it, too. In March 1921 at age 96 she saw nice
clean corn cobs in the hog lot so asked her son-in-law Billy Wishmeier to pull a
wagon in there so she could pick them up. He put on a 13 inch (high) box - she
went to work, picked it full on that chilly day, went to the house & took
pneumonia and died 3 days later."
