Saturday Morning Rides
The Saturday Not Just for Novices Rides is a series of leisurely rides aimed at the novice rider with an emphasis on group
riding skills and techniques. A slightly harder/longer loop will also be available for more advanced riders and as a goal
for the beginning rider to aim for. Many people continue to do these rides for years after they are no longer novices, so
there are usually leaders in the front and the rear of the rides.
The rides meet in front of the travel agency or the cleaners a few doors down from the 24 Hour Nautilus in the Quito Village
Shopping Center on Cox between Saratoga Avenue and Quito Road. Stay for snacks, questions, answers (maybe), and general social
amenities after the ride. Bring money for snacks. Route sheets provided for all rides. HELMETS REQUIRED, RAIN CANCELS.
Starting time: 9:30 a.m.
Call Steve Teng at (408) 736-9858 for more information.

Wednesday Night Rides
Skyline Cycling Club hosts evening bicycle rides on Wednesdays starting at 6:00 p.m. in the Peninsula and South Bay area from
mid April through mid September. The rides are from 10 to 20 miles. There are two or three routes; one will be shorter and
flatter, and the other will be longer and hillier. A route sheet will be provided and everyone rides at their own pace, which
is usually the same as several others.
Many riders get together for dinner after the ride, usually at a nearby pizza parlor.
The riding time tends to be one or two hours, depending on length and pace (10 to 20 mph). The Skyline Wednesday night rides
have been popular for over two decades and are a good way to get in some mid-week cycling, practice group riding, and meet
fellow cyclists.
Please arrive in time to begin riding promptly at 6:00 p.m. If you are not a member of the Skyline Cycling Club, you must
sign a liability release before each ride. You must be at least 18 years old, or accompanied by an adult to participate. Helmets
are required.
